Unity adds audio latency.
This plugin was developed when I noticed that my iOS game has considerably worse latency than other apps such as Garage Band installed on the same device. It’s because of BOTH audio and input latency that Unity adds at the cost of convenience of using the engine’s API.
Native Audio can reduce as much as 6~12ms from the total 34~45ms overhead that Unity adds. It solve the problem by calling directly to iOS and Android's native method (AVAudioPlayer and AudioTrack respectively) to play audio, bypassing all of Unity's processing and latency.
