I guess I know why did you came. You are facing with some problems with default layout group. If I'm right - this asset is for you! If I'm not - well, now I will try to prove that this asset is much better than a default one:
A default layout group (both vertical and horizontal) updates children only when canvas is updating and it produce several bugs. For instance you have a window where you have a default layout group and you need to spawn many objects before enable this window. You spawn these object and enable the window - you will see a chaos instead of ordered object. That's the past, present and future problem of everyone, who is working in unity and using a default layout group
My layout group can be activated once for best performance or every frame! That thing resolve any problems appeared with default layout group
