VTS 3D Geospatial Software Stack is state-of-the-art full-stack open source platform for 3D geospatial application development.

VTS Terrain Streaming Plugin for Unity provides an efficient, realtime, LODed and tiled terrain streaming with advanced features. It has been designed to handle landscapes from street-level details to the planetary-scale with support of real world coordinate systems conversions and navigation.

The streaming nature of VTS gives you complete control over what data players see without the need to ship all the gigabytes within the game. For maximal performance, the plugin uses a native library for the heavy-lifting of all the data, while rendering is left to Unity in order to allow full customization. You can easily add data or change configuration on the server only.

The tool supports physical collisions and also includes custom atmosphere algorithm that works with planets.
