Scene Loader Tool by GabrielVianaGaming
It is a simple and objective panel that contains:
- A field for Scene Asset;
- A field for Description;
- Button to add new scene;
- When modifying the panel, the scriptable object that contains the saved data is automatically modified;
- It is already configured to present the content in pages;
- Button to load the scene and remove it from the list;
With small projects there may not be much need for this tool, however a project with more than 10 scenes may present a need for a place where we can easily navigate through the project, saving a lot of production time. If you want to modify the asset to make it your own, you can do so, the script is very easy to understand and modify.

LocalAIze by Supercube
API Disclosure: This plugin performs OpenAI requests to carry out translations, tailored for game localization. Usage necessitates an OpenAI API key and is subject to OpenAI's pricing for translation requests.
Integration with Unity Localization Package: LocalAIze is designed to work seamlessly with Unity's Localization package, a robust framework for localizing text, audio, and other assets. It taps into Unity's system to manage translations, providing a familiar and powerful environment for developers.
OpenAI Language Model Utilization: At the heart of LocalAIze is its integration with OpenAI's language models. The plugin uses these advanced models to generate translations that are context-aware. Developers need to input their OpenAI API key and select their preferred model, like GPT-4, to start leveraging the AI's translation capabilities.
Context Management: LocalAIze emphasizes the importance of context in translations. It allows for the addition of a 'context locale' to each translation key, which can significantly affect the quality and relevance of the translations. This feature is particularly beneficial for nuanced texts like idioms, character dialogues, or culturally specific references.
Batch Translation and Customization: The plugin offers batch translation capabilities, allowing developers to translate large sets of text efficiently. It includes options to adjust batch size, balancing speed and cost while maintaining quality. Developers can also choose to overwrite existing translations or only fill in missing ones, providing flexibility in maintaining and updating game content.
Fallback Mechanism: A fallback system is implemented to prioritize human translations over AI-generated ones. This ensures that if a human-translated version is available, the game will use that version first, maintaining the quality and authenticity of the game's narrative and dialogues.
Collaboration Tools: LocalAIze includes Google App Script templates for managing translator access rights and a script model to reorder locales according to project needs. These tools are designed to facilitate a collaborative environment, allowing for a smooth workflow between developers, translators, and other team members.
Future Proofing and Updates: The plugin is built with future enhancements in mind. As new models from OpenAI are released, LocalAIze allows for easy updates, letting developers regenerate all translations to take advantage of the latest AI improvements. This ensures that the localization remains current and continues to improve over time.
LocalAIze is a Unity plugin that aims to make game localization smoother and more efficient for developers. Integrating OpenAI's language models with Unity's Localization package, it provides automated, context-sensitive translations, striving to maintain the quality and subtlety of the original text in multiple languages. While it enhances the translation process significantly, it's designed to complement rather than replace the nuanced work of human translators, offering tools and workflows to integrate both machine and human translations effectively.
The plugin simplifies adding context to translations, a crucial aspect often missed in standard translations. Developers can easily input game-specific context to ensure the translations consider the game's unique environment, character dialogues, and narrative style. Batch translation features and automated setup are part of the package, designed to handle large volumes of text efficiently.
LocalAIze also supports collaborative translation efforts. It includes access management features for translators and allows for easy integration and updating of translations. While it aims to streamline the localization process, it's a tool that balances automation with the need for human touch, understanding that the final quality of a game's narrative and dialogues often relies on both.
In essence, LocalAIze is about providing a helpful, efficient tool to developers looking to bring their games to a global audience, acknowledging and respecting the complexities and nuances of language translation in the gaming world. It's an aid for indie developers and studios to manage the often daunting task of game localization with a bit more ease and confidence.
