Animancer Lite by Kybernetik
Animancer is a code-driven replacement for Unity's Mecanim AnimatorControllers based around the concept of Dependency Injection: instead of using names or hash codes to identify predefined states and parameters, you simply pass the desired AnimationClip directly into the Play or CrossFade methods.
This system allows far more freedom and greatly improved code structure without losing any of the other features of Mecanim such as animation retargeting, root motion, or blend trees. Take a look at the screenshots for more details and some examples of how things can be approached in Animancer compared to Mecanim.

Shadows are even rendered properly in all layers of recursion! This can be tuned for performance, among other properties such as what layers to render in the mirror.
The creepy little voodoo thingy is also included, use it to really spice up your game.
