This is a battle-tested system used on many projects to manage Products, Versions, and history.
Add a Product asset, possibly more than one, if the asset breaks down into multiple areas.
Add an auto-incrementing version with details on what changes were made and who made them.
When you are ready to report on them or commit them to Collaborate (or GIT or other) hit the copy button, to get a formatted message including the product name, version and version notes.
Old versions are still kept, so you can step back through them.
And finally, a UI Text field (both script and a simple drag/drop preset) that automatically updates everytime you add a new version, so screenshots from users can be associated with exact code releases.
