Get this HDR package including 3 beautiful cubemap skybox-images for Unity in city and town environments.

IMPORTANT: The .hdr files are of very high quality and of big filesize when importing. Therefore, the import process can take up to several minutes. Please don't end Unity when the progress bar stays at 83%. This is normal and just needs some more time, so please be patient! You will be able to compress the texture to the preferred file size and quality for your project, once it has been imported.

Only the use of these HDR images allows you to take full advantage of the Physically Based Shaders, Real-Time Global Illumination and HDR Reflection Probes. Normal .jpg, .png, and .tif Skyboxes will not give you the same results. You need to use a HDR image like these.

This is the most straightforward solution for achieving smooth, responsive kart physics. Familiar mechanics including jumping, drifting, and turbo boosting are all here, along with limited item/powerup support and basic waypoint AI.

Three common boost modes are featured, including Drift Auto, Drift Manual, and Manual.

Drift Auto is the most common kind, rewarding karts with boost following successful drifts. Boost amount given is indicated by sparks coming from the rear wheels.

Drift Manual is a little more technical, requiring the press of a secondary button once the boost meter has filled to a certain amount, but not all the way. The drift meter fills while drifting, and several boosts can be performed during a single drift.

Manual is the most simple type, acting like standard boost in racing games with a typical boost meter. Drifting fills up the meter, but boost can be used any time by holding down the boost button.

This asset supports two item types out of the box: projectile items and turbo items. Four example items are included, these being the trap, bouncer, homing item, and turbo boost.

Rudimentary waypoint-following AI is included, but this is mainly for demonstration purposes.

The PDF documentation contains a walkthrough for setting up a kart from scratch as well as a script reference for users interested in expanding upon the asset.

Try out either the WebGL or Windows demo to see how the karts feel for yourself. There is also an AI-controlled demo for Android meant to demonstrate performance.

- All maps except the metal map are available in two different formats: png and tga

- The metal map which includes the roughness in alpha channel is in tga format only

The package also contains a layered psd file including all the maps for further modification as per the user's requirements

Although these textures had been originally applied on a standard Unity shader, however, they can be used in other custom shaders too

All the screenshots had been rendered in Unity engine with hdr skyboxes and reflection maps

How to Use/ Set up Data

1. How to Use Stadium and Goal
The stadium model comes with Day and Night (or Evening) versions.

The goal post model
"american_football_goal.prefab" is in AssetBundleResources > Models > goal > Prefabs.
Just like the stadium model, you can use them by drag & drop them onto the Hierarchy.


2. About Material of Stadium
Some materials of the stadiums are set so that shadows can be displayed in real time when other objects are placed.
Inspector > Shader in material of each model is "Legacy Shaders / Diffuse".
Textures of LightMap are included in the stadium models.
When using LightMap shader, please change Inspector > Shader of each material from "Legacy Shaders / Diffuse" to "Unlit / Lightmap".
Please turn off Cast Shadows in Inspector > Mesh Renderer of each model in the Prefab "stadium_***_all.prefab" hierarchy of the stadium.


3. How to Set up Skies
Open the setting of Lighting from Window > Lighting > Settings and from the Skybox Material under the Environment, set the relevant sky material, "st_***_bg_skybox". Some stadiums share the materials with others. In AssetBundleResources > Scenes, we have added scenes with Skybox Materials preset for Daytime/ Night.
