This pack contains 55 lighting / environment 8k skybox textures, captured from real life with a professional 32mp full frame camera, and a 8 mm fisheye lens.
Each skybox has 2 variants, an HDRi 32bit float image which is best for baking, more advanced projects, other 3d software, 2d editing, and a Tone Mapped version, which is best for mobile and more generic projects , this version is used in the starter scenes and trailer.
The tone mapped versions have a gradient fog applied at the horizon line, in order for the blending to work, the HDRi ones don't.
The starter scenes were made to resolve a problem that I have encountered over the years in the game development industry, it takes time and knowledge to get a skybox to look realistic in a scene, therefore I already set up all scenes for each one, where the directional light and fog are set up to work in a realistic manner with the skybox, so you save time and have a good starting point.
The scenes are not baked, have a single directional light, use the skybox for ambient light, and use simple linear fog.
Types of skyboxes : cirrus, clear, clouded, dawn, dusk, fog, night, overcast, sunrise, sunset
For each one of these you will find its name, the hour that it was captured at. I hunted for cool scenarios for 2 years, so the hours may vary on the same type of lighting.
